DMCA & Copyright Policy

Stickman Hook respects the intellectual property of game developers and publishers. The HTML5 games playable on this site are embedded from third-party game hosts; each game remains the property of its developer. If you are a copyright owner (or authorized to act for one) and believe a game or other content on this site infringes your rights, we will remove it — usually within 48 hours of a valid notice.

How to file a takedown notice

Email contact@retrobowl.me with the subject "DMCA Notice". Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), an effective notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed (e.g. the game title and proof of ownership or registration).
  2. The exact URL(s) on this site where the allegedly infringing material appears — one per game page, e.g. /game/example-game/.
  3. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices slow things down — if any element above is missing we must ask for it before acting.

What happens next

  • We acknowledge receipt, normally within 24 hours.
  • Valid notices result in the game page being removed from the site and the sitemap within 48 hours.
  • Because this is a static site behind a CDN, cached copies may persist for up to 24 additional hours after removal.

Counter-notice

If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: your contact details, identification of the removed material and its former URL, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, consent to the jurisdiction of your local federal district court, and your signature. We will forward valid counter-notices to the original complainant.

Repeat infringement

Sources that repeatedly host infringing games are removed from our catalog entirely, not just per-title.
